William Gomes works across fiction, poetry, human rights and research.

William Gomes also publishes as William Nicholas Gomes. This website brings together his books, research, public writing and parliamentary evidence.

His books range from imagined lives and literary mysteries to poetry and studies of displacement, home and the human subject.

Alongside his writing, William speaks against racism and advocates for the rights of displaced people. His public work has included drawing attention to human rights violations and collaborating with organisations working for justice.

These concerns form part of the wider context of a body of work that moves between stories, ideas and lived experience.
